Running Together
June 28, 2022 1 min readRunning can be a good analogy for life. Some days we move effortlessly forward, a spring in our stride. Other days, it's hard to get moving let alone achieve all that's expected. Whether elite or casual, running is often better when done together.
The support of others gets us through the difficult days and we can lift others up when the tables are turned. From trail to track, sprint to ultra, young and old, running encompasses so much variety for so many.
Running Together showcases this glorious diversity and grows the appreciation there may be other runners out there for just about anyone to join.
Each episode Pete Cameron interviews a person who has found value in running and how it shapes their life, tips on better running, upcoming events and lots more.
We are blessed with so many places to walk and run that are fascinating, stunning, challenging or a wonderful combination of all three.
These trails are almost limitless but with the help of my guest, Rob Bathgate of Wild Things, over a thousand have now been described and shared.
Rob tells of his journey from far away to the aptly named Bay of Plenty, the difficulties he has faced and conquered, along with how getting outdoors and into nature can be so enriching.
