About the Event:

The Hotprintz Bay of Islands Run/Walk Festival is the third event in the Sport Northland Run/Walk Series that is hosted by Sport Northland Events and is situated in the picturesque Bay of Islands.

This iconic event offers a choice of four distances - 6km (Walk only) 8.7km (Run/Walk) 21.1km (Run Walk) and the new Trek Trail & Fish 50km Ultra, which all finish in the heart of the coastal town of Paihia. The scenic course encompasses some stunning views across the Bay as you navigate your way along Paihia's waterfront, including access to the Waitangi Treaty Grounds and the Waitangi Mountain bike park.

The Trek Trail & Fish ultra marathon in the beautiful Bay of Islands has been created to allow Northlanders to test their endurance limits in their own backyard.

Starting in Opua follow the stunning Opua to Paihia coastal trail through to Paihia. Once in Paihia you'll run through to Waitangi, crossing the Waitangi Treaty Grounds and into the Waitangi Forest, enjoy a dash along 'Holland Days' & 'the Link' mountain bike trail and the many undulating forestry roads the Waitangi forest has to offer. Once your mammoth lap of the forest is completed follow your way back to the finish area via the historic Waitangi treaty grounds and finish up outside the Village Green in the heart of Paihia.
