Junction Peak can be accessed on the trail Torlesse Traverse from our trail directory.

Park road side (rest stop sign posted) off state highway 73, where the Kawai River/valley entrance to the Torlesse Range begins. This peak is on the Torlesse Traverse trail. Head up the 4wd track following the Kawai River on the true right. Follow the river all the way until you begin your climb up Mt Torlesse. From the top of Mt Torlesse follow the epic ridgeline until you reach Junction Peak. Continue on to complete the Torlesse Traverse or do a cheeky wee out an back to Back Peak and Otarama Peak.
