Crown Peak can be accessed on the trails Crown Peak Traverse, Coal Crown Arrowtown, The Harcombe Round, Mt Sale via Crown Peak and Mt Scott, Cardrona to Arrowtown and Crown Peak and Mt Sale from our trail directory.
One of my favourite peaks mainly for the beautiful clear views of Queenstown. Once you hit the peak, if following the trail directory trail, be prepared to go off track to your right following the ridgeline. I would caution if you do this in the winter, it can be very exposed. I last did this in August and it had sheet ice and slushy snow where microspikes were very helpful. We also encountered very high cold winds and snow so go well prepared if in winter and check the weather before you do.
