Starts with a climb up through farmland before you head into the bush where you start along the ridgeline steadily climbing your way to the Trig.
The track does continue past the Trig, getting a little more remote and unmarked, ending up at Otanewainuku.
This trail includes the peaks Otawa and Whareotetarakeho.
Some great views from the farmland before you head into the bush, but no open views along the way unfortunately.

Moderate.
Straight out and back, although there are a few small route choices along the way which just loop back to each other after a few hundred metres.
Very patchy.

A great one for solo runners and people beginning to trail run. A decent amount of uphill, a few spots with views, lots of native birds and the return is pretty much all downhill & a whole lot of fun!

Great run, a couple of steep inclines but relatively short before back to a nice and steady easy slope. A lot of tree roots to dodge, the view at the top is amazing on a clear day. I added in an extra 11km to the Papamoa Hills Regional Park trig by going up Quarry Road and cutting through the Summer Hills golf club to Reid Road. Would do this one again.

Nice one which if you faithfully follow the GPX will enable you to bag not 1 but 2 trigs. Thanks for sharing Rob.
