Starting at the carpark follow The Ridge trail past the clearing with the shelter (toilet is hiding just around the corner), up to the top of the park and around to the left. Just before the end of The Ridge trail swing right onto Oh Mai Mai (this section is closed during duck shooting season), past the lake then turn right onto the wetland trails. These will take you back to the carpark.
Great view of Putauaki / Mt Edgecumbe from the top of the park. The wetlands are very pretty and there are remnants of a medicinal plant collection nearby. There are steps with wood carvings alongside, nearly Lake Tamurenui, leading to a kauri grove . The park is located on land owned by Norske Skog Tasman, and public access is permitted thanks to the generosity of that company.

Fast and fun run. If you want to cool off afterwards there's a nice spot on Braemar Springs Road with good views back to Mt Edgecumbe/Putauaki.
