An easy, flat loop around QEII. Good for beginners or as a pre-swim warm up. There are random fitness stations scattered about this loop so some cross-training fun could be incorporated if that's your thing.
Start by the bike racks outside Taiora QEII and use the gravel path that skirts the edge of the school field. When you come to the pavement turn right and head towards the road junction (maybe 20m). Opposite the junction the track starts on your left, cross the road and pick up the track.
At fitness station number 7 (the ladder) there is a small fork in the track. Take the right fork and continue. This will take you to a car park, keep going towards the buildings and then go onto the grass and down the right hand side. There's no real track here so it can be grassy and muddy.
Once around the building head left and towards the QEII entrance sign. Cross the road and pick up the track again. When you come to the concrete path at the school, turn left, cut across the grass and have a wee run over the bridge feature. After the bridge, pick up the school path, take a left and follow this back to QEII where you started.

Short loop! I hadn’t been to QEII since before the quakes so it was interesting to come see it now. Pleasant enough run if you live nearby or are warming up for a swim.
