The course starts at Coopers Creek carpark and heads straight up the mountain. You head through some farmland briefly before turning off and into the mountain trails.
Once you get out of the bush line you will enjoy the amazing views as you finish the second half of the climb to the summit. Make sure you get some photos as the 360 degree views are incredible - all the way to the South Pacific Ocean and the Southern Alps. Y
ou will head along the summit and descend the mountain through the 'goblin forest' - the beech forest is incredible throughout the course but this section is particularly memorable. You will come across a junction as you begin your descent - make sure you head towards View Hill and Coopers Creek (turn to your left at this junction).
When you get to the bottom of the mountain you will pop out onto the Wharfedale Track. Turn left here and about 20 metres along you will come across another turn off. Make sure you turn left here and head along the Koromako Track (which will also head you towards Ryde Falls).
A few km into this section you will come across the turn off to the Ryde Falls - this course DOES NOT go to the falls. So continue along the Koromako Track until you get to another junction. Make sure you turn left here towards Coopers Creek - this is where you started and will complete the loop.
The final 7km of this course is undulating - there are a few creek crossings and great single track running.
This trail includes the peak Mount Oxford.
Incredible view along the summit. Beech forest is amazing - especially enjoy the goblin forest on the descent.
Closest public toilet to trailhead: Portaloo at the Coopers Creek carpark (usually has both toilet paper and hand sanitiser, but always good to pack some just in case).
Carparking at the Coopers Creek carpark. There is no public transport available.
