This is a nice explore from the centre of Lincoln following trails along the beautifully restored Liffey Stream marginal strip, all the way through to the Lincoln Wetland trails.
Follow the trails as they connect south down the Liffey, and as they head back and across the stream.
Loop the wetland at the end and be sure to hop across on the awesome stepping stones before you close the loop and retrace your steps back up the Liffey.
A really pleasant rambling run along what is now a pristine urban river margin. Can be extended if you want to add on a section of the Little River Rail Trail.
Enjoyable wetlands and riverside planting areas.

Easy.
Pretty hard to get lost, just follow the waterway trails and the loop around the wetland is very popular and well formed.
Perfect throughout.
Seam-sealed waterproof jacket, Cellphone, Map
BYO water.
The stepping stone section can occasionally be flooded after prolonged rain and can be easily diverted by going around the other side of the wetland.
Don't slip on the stepping stones.

Nice stream! A bit of a faff trying to figure out which side of the stream to be on as the trails come and go. The stepping stones were a highlight :) Great start to an autumn weekend.

Lovely flat route alongside the river and around the wetlands. Wasn’t aware these riverside trails existed so they were nice to explore. The stepping stones were fun too!

These overlap with this trail to some degree. You may wish to combine them but please note that to qualify for FKTs on these runs you should record a separate activity for each.
