From White Horse Hill campsite find the signposted trail to Kea Point and the Sealey Tarns. Follow the well-maintained trail, passing the Sealey Tarns turn off (there is another couple of trail directories that go up there, Two Tarns Stepathon and Mueller Hut) and continue a steady climb up to the lookout above the Mueller Lake. This is massive country.

Kea Point is appropriately named; there are often kea squawking around the surroundings, if you are lucky they may even fly by your run.

Once you've drunk up the views and maybe seen an icefall / avalanche off the nearby wall that is Mt Sefton then retrace your steps back to the campground.

Amazing views of Mt Sefton, Aoraki Mt Cook and the Mueller glacier terminus.

Easy.

It's alpine here, be prepared for alpine weather and sudden changes.

Generally good.

Lightweight fleece top, Seam-sealed waterproof jacket, Windproof jacket, Gloves, Beanie/thermal headwear, Whistle, First aid kit, Cellphone, Map

Water at the campsite.

It's 800m above sea level and in the mountains, but this is an all-weather trail. Pack warm gear accordingly though

Stick to the trail especially up at the lookout - unstable moraine cliffs below.

No keas today but the clouds broke and Aoraki was on display... Awesome little excursion. Easy walk/run
