Starting from Centennial Drive carpark, head across Fitzherbert Ave Bridge. Once across the bridge, turn left up the road for approx 500metres to the track start on the right, marked with a urban walkway post and triangle. Follow the trail, taking first left at the junction. You will come up onto a road, cross the road and 100metres on the other side the trail continues. Take next left across small bridge, and head up the stairs. This will bring you onto another road, cross this heading to the R), take next L) and trail is on the R) and continues through to another road. Run approx 200metres and cross the road to next part of the trail (take care 70kph area).
Follow this and at next road, trail continues directly opposite.
Head down and around the hill (steep gravel downhill), and cross road at bottom to continue on trail (careful 100kph area) and turn L) on trail at next sign post.
At carpark cross road (100kph area) and follow up the large group of steps. Follow this trail with another 2 large uphill parts, and at the end of the trail cross road and trail continues on the other side. You can choose either fork, they come to same place.
Up the next stairs and option to turn right and out down Atawhai Drive (take steps at bottom of road, turn R) and return to Fitzherbert Ave bridge)
OR
continue straight past playground, and over stile to continue around into Bledisloe Park. Continue to take right turns (Stairs on right can be completed as up and back down if desired) and when exit the park, turn right and follow the track back to Fitzherbert Ave bridge (approx 1.5km to carpark you started from)

Trail Reviews

Have run parts of the trail before but not the entire loop until today. Loved it!! Great tracks in good condition, good signage, and great shelter from the wind. Will definitely be running this loop again.

Great trail escape so close to the city. Nice, easy running trail, suitable for dogs with a couple of water spots where they can refresh.

Spent a great morning looping around these tracks, great for a little hill work and didn't get lost at all. The steps are great!

Love these trails right on our doorstep... they offer hills... stairs... bush.. and can run for hours and not do the same trail twice or walk for half a hour... great for everyone
