The run starts at Woodside Glen when you head up the Woodside Glen track and follow Lee Stream. The first wee bit is a well formed track. You cross the the stream and then start heading up the hill, it then becomes a poled route/arrows on trees, but the track is pretty easy to follow. Once you hit the bushline you then follow the poles up through the tussocks.
You can continue heading as far as you like, right up to Maungatua, but it is pretty hard to get a good run going - hence the shorter track. Once you get to the last decent outcrop before it heads up a gently sloping ridge it is a good photo spot. This is where you can turn back and follow your footsteps back the way you came to the car.
Great views over the Taieri Plains, as well as some lovely native bush.
If you know of any public toilets near the trail start or on the route, please login and then let us know so we can update this section.
There is parking located in the Glen, which is pretty secluded, so make sure you hide valuables. The Glen has a locked gate at night, so beware of the times if you don't want to get locked in!

First km to Lee stream lovely to run however after that would class it more walking material. Once above bushline stunning views but unable to run (or even walk quickly due to density of large tussock/shrub cover ) good training for steep and pole route finding challenge☺
