Start at the carpark and head up the Waimoku Track . This takes you through the amazing redwood forest to begin with before turning into native bush. The track climbs steadily with some steep and slippery sections before you gain the upper ridge line with some undulations. You will then be climbing again to a signpost for the Sefton Ridge Track. Turn right here. Take the Sefton Ridge Track back down the hill leading you back to the carpark.

Nice run, unless you dislike roots. Slippery in light rain. but nicely runnable in parts. Only 4.1km on my Garmin though, which seems about right looking at the map.

NIce run, tougher than expected as my Garmin measured a lot more vert than advertised (407m).... but awesome Redwoods (just like home in Rotovegas) and some lovely views up top... shame the mountain was hiding. Plus some stretches of lovely flat out downhill in the second half.
