There are road markers along the main ridge to Old Mountain Road. Here you can either turn around to finish the run or cross Old Mountain Road to pick up Karamu Walkway South.

Great views of the Hakarimata Range in the north, Te Uku Wind Farm and Karioi and the coast to the west, Pirongia to the south and Hamilton city to the east.

If you know of any public toilets near the trail start or on the route, please login and then let us know so we can update this section.

Trail Reviews

Nice bush section at the start, and some great views from over the farmland. Go when it's just reopened in November for bonus cute lambs everywhere.
