The track follows the river and gently winds its way up. It climbs more steeply before reaching the a view point at about 2.5 km where you can see the waterfall. Continue up another 1 km until you reach the river again and a track intersection. Turn left to the to reach the upper look out (200m). Come back down the same way.
Wairere Falls is a 153m waterfall. The track climbs up to the top of the falls, with a viewpoint half way.

Really beautiful and fun trail. Super muddy at the moment and more traffic than Auckland on a Friday night if you head up during the day in the weekend.

Stunning bush, stream & waterfall. Very busy on weekends, if you are thinking of trying for a fast time.
