A short 2km out and back track which can be extended with additional repetitions to build those quads and calves on the stairs, which there are many.
Such an amazing waterfall.
There is a long drop along the track a short way from the start.

The waterfall is fab & definitely worth a visit. The trail is lovely bush, but super popular (i.e. busy) and tiny short.. but you can combine with the Pipiwharauroa trail 750m down the road, then you've got a nice variety of trails.

5 stars for the waterfall and 1 star for the run where you're likely to spend more time sidestepping tourists than actually running. Very happy it's part of the directory though as would've hated missing it. If you add to Mt Karioi and/or Pipiwharauroa makes for a good day. Probably easiest 54 points on offer.

5 starts on the basis of how awesome this waterfall is! Reps on the stairs would be awesome.
