The track is mostly flat following a creek/river through native bush and pine plantations. Easy trail running which can be fast if you wish. The trail described here is in and out but can be extended to approximately 30Km with several long hills etc,

The track leads into an old mining site so for those interested in this there are some cool relics to see.

If you know of any public toilets near the trail start or on the route, please login and then let us know so we can update this section.

I have parked here numerous times over a 15 year period without security issues.

Easy.

To find the Luck At Last mine site just follow the track and the creek. If you wish to extend your run there are numerous other tracks in the forest surrounding the mine site. These can be circuits or out and back. If you are unsure about natural navigation make sure you have a map of the area if you go exploring.

Patchy.

Short-sleeved thermal top, Gloves, Whistle, First aid kit, Extra food for emergencies, Cellphone, Map

Bring your own drinks if you do not want to risk drinking creek water.

Can be muddy in patches following heavy rain or floods.

Apart from the trail itself there are mine relics and mine shafts in and around Luck At Last. Generally the track to and from the mine site is very good to run on.

Creek Soaking
Adjacent to beginning of trail.
Cool water to calm the leg muscles.

Trail Reviews

Don't trust google maps to get you to this one - you'll end up in someone's back yard 😆
A fun and easy run, very enjoyable. Parts of the trail are shared with mountainbikers so beware.

A lot of fun. Make sure to take the logging forestry road not the one on google maps. Says closed at the front sign but if you look on the other side it says Luck at Last track is still open.
