Nice runnable, dog-friendly loop, which is a local favourite of the Porirua Trailblazers!
Head up the Conclusion Walkway, which starts opposite the Countdown Aotea. The trail cuts through the bush alongside a residential area (ignore all of the side paths) with nice views west to Porirua Harbour.
When you reach Ascot Park, follow the edge of the sports field round to the dog exercise area, then bear left once you're past it. The trail now becomes Bothamley Pathway. Cross Warspite Avenue and continue down through Bothamley Park, keeping right at the intersections. You should soon see the Fairy Lane sign and series of cute, painted rocks which will lead you up to the park exit. Once here, continue straight up Abel Glen and back to the start.
If you know of any public toilets near the trail start or on the route, please login and then let us know so we can update this section.
Plenty of parking in and around the Countdown, and buses also go past here.

Easy.
There a few side paths off Conclusion walkway to residential streets but you'll soon realise if you've gone wrong. In Bothamley Park, just keep right at each intersection.
Perfect throughout.

Ascot park gets pretty muddy after rain but most of the other trails are well draining.
Be careful crossing Warspite Avenue as the cars can go pretty fast.

Really nice wee loop. Enjoyable and 100% runnable. The last 1km is awesome with all the rock art!
