This one is a great easy entry level trail. It is is a wonderful relaxed explore of what the hamlet of Moana has to offer.

Start off at the top end of Moana and follow Brownlee Drive into Korua. Before the road drops past the motorcamp pick up the Vlenski Walk as it heads into the bush and enjoy a short but very sweet foray into the incredible native forest that surrounds the township. Be sure to check out the lookout. Follow this short trail to its end down by the lake and hop onto the Rakaitane Walk.

Prepare for full pristine rainforest immersion as you cross the Arnold River on an awesome swingbridge. Compulsory photostop here. Head over the bridge, complete the nature trail loop and soak up all that West Coast goodness. When you loop back to the bridge head over to the west side of the lake for a check out of the beaches and settlement. More photostops! Return to your car via the lakefront and up the hill on the main highway. There's a footbridge over the railway line from the lakefront, don't miss this. If you want more km's just do the loop again!

Stunning views across Lake Brunner. Awesome swingbridge

I lived in Moana for 8 months including during the lockdown so this run became my main beat. It is always a nice run with varied terrain and views. I even managed to make it into an 8km run by adding some extra loops!

Love the West Coast bush, such a nice run. Always amusing running over a swing bridge.
